Create menu items for categories

To make use of the category feature of the Webhosting Component you have to create menu items of the type "Link". There you insert the URL of the component (without Itemid) and add the variable 'catid' to it.

Then the links looks like this:

index.php?option=com_webhosting&catid=5

You can get the catid from the Category Manager ("Plan Categories"). At the right site of the list there is a column with the title "Category ID".

Create a menu item for all plans

You can anyway create a menu item of the type 'Component'. On that page will be shown the following plans:

• all published plans without a category
• all published plans of a published category

So the plans of an unpublished category will not be shown on that menu item. But on a menu item for that category they will be shown! So you have the possibility to show the items of a category only on the category page.
