The support of the "Webhosting Component" (Wh-Com) for Joomla 1.0.x will end at 31.07.2009. After this time no more security fixes if any will be provided and no more support will be provided in the forums. If you still use  Wh-Com consider upgrading to Joomla 1.5 and JispCom , the successor of Wh-Com, which offers a lot more features and an advanced codebase.

The reason for this decision is that the Joomla! team stopped the support of Joomla 1.0.x at 22.07.09 (offical announcement).
